Politics directly affects everything from unemployment and job creation, to taxes, healthcare, education. If you care about personal finance and your family’s budget — you must care about politics too.

In this episode, I’m digging into why you can’t detach politics from money, how it directly affects our financial literacy and our education systems, and why I feel so strongly about exercising your right to vote. Plus, I’ll share my tips on how to make voting with your kids in-tow super simple.

IN THIS EPISODE, SAMI SHARES ABOUT:

  • Why you can’t keep politics out of personal finance

  • Why your voice matters regardless of your occupation or income level

  • Why voting is so important — not just for president, but for state and local officials too

  • My tips for making voting with your kids in-tow much easier

  • Why you can’t detach politics from money

  • Examples of how politics affects our personal budgets with areas like unemployment, job creation, taxes, healthcare, education, and more

  • How politics directly affects our education systems

  • Why financial literacy is crucial for Black and Latino Americans, as well as women if we ever hope to break the wage gap

  • How politics, education, and the wage gap are all directly related

  • Why we need to vote for financial literacy and life skills to be taught more in schools

  • Statistics on household income based on ethnicity
